Dreamstep stood in the middle of the sandy hollow, looking around the the other apprentices training. She looked back to her apprentice. Now, watch me do this move. This is and offensive/defensive move. She slide foward, her body low to the ground, then leaped up as high as she can, then came down, claws sheathed. When I was sliding, I was slidning under my attacker's belly. Then, I came up, and landed on their shoulders. This is a vital move, 'cause this will be a great time to bite the throat of your attacker. Now, let me see you try. You may not get it on the first time, so don't be sad if you don't. |

"Ok!" Stripepaw said excitedly. She quickly slid foreward and jumped into the air. Unfortunatly on her landing she fell and rolled to one side, thinking that if that was a battle she'd want to get out of reach of her target as soon as possible. It took her awhile to get up and shake the sand from her fur. "How was that?" she asked, hoping for something good to come out of her mess up.

Dreamstep shook her head. Not quite. She looked about, then spotted Lightningtail. Lighningtail, can you come and show Stripepaw how to do the slide move please? She blinked her pink voids, affectionately, knowing he couldn't resist. She had a crush on Lightningtail, even though he is a senior warrior, and she was one of the younger warriors. But, love can't keep them apart forever.... right? |

Lightningtail sat down at the dge of the hollow, watching Dreamstep and Stirpepaw. He watched the flurry of fur before his eyes, slightly mesmerized. His soft blue eyes followed them carefully. He pricked his ears at Dreamstep's request. He gazed into her eyes momentarily, then nodded. "I'll try." He padded over to her, titling his head. "Well, let's see it again. Don't roll away, though. Unless you're ready to jump up quick."

Stripepaw nodded, this time she was sure she'd do better! Or atleast she hoped she'd do better. She showed them it again, this time when she came down she managed to stay standing. Although, to keep herself up she had to brace her paws after she hit the sand. Her claws slid out of the sheaths alittle bit when she braced herself.

Dreamstep nodded, then smiled. She stood there, her paws in the warm sand. Dreamstep flexed her claws. Better! Just try harder, and do better! Now, try it on me. She stood there, ready for the attack. Dreamstep waited, then spoke. Remember, I will go slow at first, then I'll speed up. It's not like, your attacker will not go as slow as me.... |

She shook her head. Of course not, silly! Dreamy waited for the attack, then she nodded. By the way, call me Dreamy, or Dream, or just Dreamstep. She giggled, a little bit. |

"Yes Dreamstep" Stripepaw said then in almost a blur she quickly slid under Dreamstep. Just as fast she launched herself onto Dreamstep's shoulders. She dug her claws into Dreamstep to keep herself from falling off her shoulders and onto the ground.

Dreamy yowled in pain. Sticky, crimson blood shown through her snoy fur. Why did you do that?!?! Dreamy cursed silently under her breath, the shook it off. She's a big girl..... at least she thought she was..... |

"Sorry" Stripepaw said then got off of Dreamstep quickly. She looked at the beads of blood. "Are you okay?" She asked, clearly worried she hadn't meant to draw blood.

Stripepaw nodded and backed away to give Dreamstep alittle room. She sat down and awaited more instructions.

Lightningtail had jumped away from Stripepaw as she had finnished her attack and nodded in approval, then settled back to watching. His fur rose on the back of his neck as he saw blood stain Dreamstep's fur and walked up, cuffing Stripepaw around the ears. "Be careful. Save your claws for the enemy." His face didnt change, but he turned to Dreamstep and ran a rough toungue over her wound quickly, then flattened his ears, slightly embarrased. "Maybe claws sheathed, next time."
