Clan Ranks
Leader: The Clan leader is the highest in rank, and has to make important descisions for their clan. They carry out ceremonies, and are in charge of the safety of every cat in the Clan. They must be patient and understanding with all of their Clanmates, and may never lie to their Clan unless it is absolutely nescessary.
The Leader recieves nine lives from StarClan when they are made leader. Female leaders are not allowed to have kits. Leaders' names end in star
Deputy: The Deputy is second in command, and is in charge of organizing hunting and border patrols, watching over and helping their Clan, and taking control when the leader is unable to. They must be very open and respectful with their leader. To be deputy, a cat must be a warrior and must have already trained an apprentice. Female Deputies are not allowed to have kits.
Medicine Cat: The Medicine Cat is in charge of healing and caring for their clan. They must actively watch over and observe their clanmates, to make sure that they are healthy. They have nearly as much power as the Clan leader, but it is the leader's word in the end. All of the cats in the clan are respectful and obedient to the Medicine Cat. The Medicine cats and their apprentices travel to the Moonstone every half-moon to share tongues with StarClan. Female medicine cats are not allowed to have kits, but they may be in love with another cat. Male medicine cats are allowed to father kits.
(Leaders, Deputies, and Medicine cats can give orders to and reprimand all other cats with a lower rank than them.)
Warrior: Warriors are in charge of the general upkeep of the camp. They train apprentices (so can the Leader, Deputy, and Medicine Cat) and help all other members of the Clan. They hunt, fight in battles, and do border patrols. They must treat all other cats with fairness and respect, and they have the ability to give orders to or reprimand apprentices and kits.
Apprentices: Apprentices are young cats in training to become warriors or a Medicine Cat. They begin their apprenticeship when they are about six moons old. They must take orders from and be respectful to all cats with higher status than them. They are in charge of taking care of the elders. Apprentices are trained by a Warrior, and their names end in paw. The minimum age that they can be made into Warriors is ten moons, and an apprentice must travel to the Moonstone to share tongues with StarClan before they are made a warrior. In addition, the night of their warrior ceremony they must sit vigil and guard the camp.
Queens: Queens are she-cats that are expecting or nursing kits. They stay in the Nursery and care for their kits and the kits of other queens. They are cared for and protected by the other members of the Clan. Once their kits are made into apprentices, they return to being Warriors. Some queens stay in the nursery fulltime, whether or not they have kits, aiding the other queens and passing their time away.
Elders: Elders are retired Warriors, Queens, and Medicine Cats. They are cared for mainly by the apprentices. They are too old to fight or hunt, but they sitll attend meetings and Gatherings. They may have a name different than their original Warrior name such as One-eye or Halftail (these names are meant to suit their appearance as an elder more than their Warrior name did). They are allowed to hunt if they want to, but it is not their duty. They are not allowed to go out of the camp without a warrior.
Kits: Kits are young cats that are under six moons old. They live in the Nursery with their mothers. Kits over three moons are alowd to leave the nursery, but they are not allowed out of the camp, and they may not fight or hunt for prey. They must take orders from all older cats. (Their names end in kit
Non-Clan Ranks
Kittypets: Kittypets are cats that live with and are pets to Twolegs (humans). The Clan cats normally scorn them and do not associate with them.
Loners: Loners are cats that do not live with the Clans, but they do not live with Twolegs. They live solitary, peaceful lives, and some even believe in StarClan.
Rogues: Rogues are cats outside clans that do not live with Twolegs. Unlike loners, they are fierce, violent, and troublesome, and sometimes attack the Clans. They are sometimes solitary, but they can travel in groups, and do not believe in warrior ancestors.
