Shadowstar lead his patrol up the glade. Raggedflight and Nightdance were behind him. Shadowstar flicked his tail to signal to start hunting.
He crept along the brown earth. His belly was brushing the ground. He began to speed up. The large rabbit was rare in these part. When he was a fox-length away he leapt. The creature heard the sudden lift of paws and twisted its body to look. Its eyes widened for a split second then it turned to run but it was to late. Shadowstar landed on it and killed it with a swist bite to the neck. He dug a hole in the earth and dropped it in. He scratched the mud back over and looked for another item of prey. He heard a faint croaking in the undergrowth and twisted around. He realised it was a large frog. He used a teqnique used by Shadowclanners for a long time. He went straight for the back. He crept as silently along as possible and making sure his paws barely hit the ground as he went along. When he was a mouse-length away he batted it with unseathed paws. The frog flew into the air and fell dead on the ground. He buried it in the same spot as the rabbit and went for more prey.
