Shadowstars pelt gleamed in the moonlight and leaped onto a vole. The sweet scent stung his nostrils and he was tempted to eat it. but he knew tawnypelt must eat first.

Stormchaser padded silently along behind his leader, watching with emotionless yellow-green eyes as Shadowstar caught a vole.
Padding off to another spot, a movement caught Stormchaser's eyes. A mouse.
The brown-grey tabby began to stalk it, moving silently and with light feet. The mouse would feel his paws on the ground if he wasn't careful.
Just before it would have scampered away, Stormchaser leapt onto it, crushing the frail body with his paws.
He knew the mouse was dead the instant he hit it. Stormchaser picked the thing up; it was fairly plump for a mouse, and dropped it into a small patch of snow.
This would be his pile of kill.
Stormchaser turned again, to return to hunting.

Shadowstars eyes narrowed and he felot a gush of wind come his way. He watched as a plump brown rabbit leaped only a mouse-length away from him and he sprang out. his powerful legs sped him along the dirt and in swipes it was over.

Some leaves trembled, and out burst two apprentices, chasing and tumbling after each other.Blazepaw stopped and sniffed, following the scent to a dead mouse. He sniffed it,his black pelt flowed in the small breeze. His sister,Waterpaw, her white pelt blending in,came behind him."It`s Stormchaser`s,"Blazepaw mumbled. He turned and crouched down, leaping on Waterpaw.Wateroaw sqeuled and ran away, then stopped."Mouse!"She hissed.Crouching down, she pounced and flung the mouse into the air.Blazepaw finnished it off by leaping into the air and catching it in his jaws.He landed and turned to his sister, and they nodded happily.

Waterpaw felt her face grow warm, and she crouched down, scenting for anything.Another mouse. The tip-toed towards the scent, then pounced. The mouse was dead in no time. She put it beside Blazepaw`s catch and she buried them both."Come`on,lets go!"Waterpaw teased, rushing away.Blazepaw scampered after her.

Stormchaser noted the positions of all the creatures in the forest. He sensed that the apprentices, Waterpaw and his own, Blazepaw. Stormchaser noticed a flicker of movement, and a brown-grey rabbit flitted into view. His ears flicked back, and his senses were alerted. Stormchaser's paws moved with slight excitement, and he leapt, crushing the rabbit with his weight...even though Stormchaser was rather thin.
Stormchaser padded back silently through the night, carrying the rabbit.

Stormchaser felt the prescence of Shadowstar behind him, but made no movements telling he did. Most knew that his senses were at their highest during hunts, and with them at their peak, Stormchaser knew the positions of all through sight, scent, touch, taste, and hearing, of course. He could see some of the shadows rushing about through the night he recognized as different cats. With scent, this was his main one...he could easily scent where most of the cats were. Touch...he could feel Shadowstar's footsteps. Taste...well, he tasted the air with scent, did he not? And as for hearing, he could hear it when an apprentice yelled excitedly about something they had caught, or when a rabbit leapt about the area.

Shadowstar prowled quietly. He felt his claws dig into the ground as he realised the apprentice's had not followed.
