The exitment and anticipation swept Dreamstep off her paws. Even though she had only been a warrior for a full year, she had never had an apprentice. She looked at the crowd behind her, and in front of her. Dreamstep looked to Lightningtail. The look in her eyes said it all. If I need help, I'll come to you. She winked at him, then smiled. She padded foward to her newly-named apprentice; Stripepaw. Dreamstep dipped her head in gratitude, towards Sandstar. Thank you, Sandstar. Stripepaw, please behave.

Stripepaw smiled, "I'll try" she said, not making any promises besides that. Besides, it would be hard for her to keep herself from following 'I will', which she was guessing was the answer Dreamstep would want. 'I'll try to not make it too hard' Stripepaw thought, 'I wonder what we'll do first...'

Dreamstep nodded, then smiled. She extended her neck, and swiftly tapped noses with Stripepaw. Her tail swished back and forth. The pink voids showed through her bright fur. Sandstar, if that is all, I will take my apprentice to find moss for her bedding. Hopefully her and Silverpaw will stay out of trouble....

Sandstar smiled as Dreamstep bowed her head before the ThunderClan leader, and she couldn't help but feel relieved as the apprentice told her mentor that she would try to stay out of trouble. Well, it was better than nothing, right? But as Dreamstep spoke again, and the name Silverpaw came up, Sandstar's ears pricked. Silverpaw...oh, she would deal with it later.
The leader stood up and began to make her way down the Highrock. "Good luck, Dreamstep," she murmured, her voice as pleasant as the wind. The poor warrior would need all the luck she could get, in a way. But in another, Sandstar could sense that Stripepaw was eager as any apprentice should be. Dreamstep would, so long as she was teaching the more exciting subjects of an apprentice's things to learn, have full attention.
((Sorry, lack of muse for Sand. ))

Silverpaw watched as Dreamstep and Stripepaw padded away. She sighed. Silverpaw lifted her Shimmering body, and stepped heavily to Sandstar. I'm ready for my punishment. She sighed again.

Lightningtail stood up from his position, looking in Sandstar's direction. He suddenly needed to speak with her. It had nothing to do with Stripepaw or Dreamstep, or anything like that. It had popped into his head as he had watched the troublesome kit become and apprentice, and his thoughts flashed to only one other like that. He headed towards her, then paused. Silverpaw! He couldn't talk to her now. She needed to be alone. Lightningtail grimaced, but shrugged it off. He supposed it could wait for another day.

Leopardpelt glanced up at his leader, slightly worried as she whispered the words instead of announcing it with her usual forcefullness. But then he found himself grinning and trying not to rush forward to congratulate Dreamstep. And give her some advice, if she asked for it. But Dreamstep was smart; she would probably figure it out on her own.
