A Question That Hasn't Been Answered for too Long

[Mistpelt]

Mudstream padded around the camp she lied down. She has plans to find out about her parents today, or atleast one of them. Her questions about them hadn't been answered, or spoken how ever. But now she wanted and needed the answers. She first had to wait for a warrior to come around that might know about her mother. Her mother was the one she decided she'd ask about first.

[Featherstar]

"Hello, Mudstream." Leopardpelt rumbled, a look of slight concern on his face. She had seemed restless of late, and it wasn't the kind a new warrior normally has. He'd seen that too many times. He padded over to sit beside the young she-cat. "Is everything okay?"

[Mistpelt]

"oh, hello Leopardpelt" Mudstream said looking at him. "Ya everything's fine... I just was wondering about something" she said soon after

[Featherstar]

"Oh?" the deputy suppressed a laugh. Normally new warriors were too busy strutting around to let a stray thought bother them. "So what troubles your mind, my friend?"

[Mistpelt]

"I was wondering about my parents" Mudstream said looking at the deputy. She had barely known her mother and father, and she wanted to know more about her mother right now.

[Featherstar]

"Ah." Leopardpelt sighed. That explained it."What do you want to know?" he asked, exaimining the ground beneath his paws.

[Mistpelt]

"I want to know about my mother" Mudstream said. Her mother was the one that troubled her the most, why did she leave? Was just one of the many questions, but she hoped Leopardpelt would explain what he knew.

[Featherstar]

"Your mother." Leopardpelt sighed. "I really shouldn't be telling you. I really don't know much about it." He glanced at her. "For all I know, she's dead." Sometimes the truth was harsher than reality. But Leopardpelt had told the truth: He really didn't know what happened.

[Mistpelt]

"I see" Mudstream said, she had expected this answer though. Although that didn't stop it from hurting. "Do you know anyone that might be able to tell me a few things?" she asked, she didn't want the same answer more than what she needed too.

[Featherstar]

Leopardpelt thought for a moment. Sandstar would know, but she couldn't remember anything past the fire. "Perhaps Lynxpelt or Lightningtail might know. Lynxpelt seems to know everything."

Lynxpelt's golden pelt swept out. She was a young medicine cat but she was very wise and when she spoke she sounded like she carried many seasons of knowledge.
"Somebody spoke of me?"

[Mistpelt]

"Thanks Leopardpelt!" Mudstream mewed happily before she heard Lynxpelt's voice. Turning around she nodded. "Leopardpelt told me to ask you to see if you can answer my question" she explained

"What is that Mudstream?" Lynxpelt's smooth voice rumbled softly.

[Mistpelt]

"I was wondering if you knew anything about my mother" Mudstream said. She hoped she knew something but if she didn't she'd ask her old mentor.

[Featherstar]

"Right on time, as always." Leopardpelt mumbled under his breath. Uncomfortable topic for him, always will be. The large tom hurried out of camp as fast as he could without making it obvious he was running. He threw an offhand comment about hunting on his way out.
